Rehostar is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and education. Rehostar saves lives, helps people overcome poverty, and empowers learners. We are a registered 501c3 public benefit corporation.
Our History
In 2005, a group of volunteers traveled to Rehoboth Namibia to learn about the issues there and bring care to orphans, learners and those living/dying with AIDS. Strategic partnerships and strong relationships were formed and work began to support the vision and values of locals fighting for a better quality of life. Rehostar Inc. was founded in November of 2007 as a grass roots response to the crisis that the people of Rehoboth face without any limited relief or resources. In our sophomore year and after several visits back to Rehoboth we are seeing the value of returning the same place and working alongside our friends.
Changes have been made and growth is evident. However, the crisis is huge. Suicide, preventable diseases and hunger continue to rise and so the next 8-10 years provide a pivotal window to stop the horrifying cycle. There is hope and a future for Rehoboth, and the people there look to Rehostar for empowerment.
Our commitment is un-ceasing.
